What is a Domain Name Service
Domain name services are needed on the Internet to resolve domains to IP addresses. When you surf the Internet and enter Internet addresses in your browser, the browser must first find the appropriate server that hosts the desired website. To do this, it requests the domain from a domain name server and receives an IP address in response. It can then use this to send the request to the server and receive the content of the website.
We currently operate 4 independent name server clusters at 4 different locations and successfully process an average of approx. 17.5 million domain requests per day. The number of requests to our name servers is constantly increasing.
